Islamic Development Bank has rendered its services in Saudi Arabia since 1983. The objective of the full tuition fee scholarship program is to hunt the hidden abilities of the students to delegate communities and put the focus on sustainability science. 

IsDB scholarship is provided to the citizens of IsDB member countries and Muslims living in non-member countries. IsDB is a fully-funded scholarship granted to international students. This scholarship is offered to Undergraduate, Master’s, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research students. 

Islamic Development Bank provides its applicants monthly stipend, full educational cost of college, traveling support, full medical coverage and much more. This helps improve the economic conditions of Muslims and their member countries. This scholarship program is also called a “Distinct Community-Oriented Development Program” because it is focused on community development.

Scholarship Coverage

This is a fully funded scholarship, and it will cover the following:

  • Tuition fee that is submitted to the university.
  • All the installments and registrations to apply for the scholarship.
  • All the expenses of traveling into the particular country and coming back.
  • This will also cover the accommodation fee and usual expenses of the residing student.
  • Medical insurance.
  • The scholarship also covers funds to participate in extra-curricular activities to boost their confidence and to make them better at socializing in an outside environment. This happens under a program called “Mentorship Guidance and Counselling Programme.”
  • Funds for thesis and research work completion.

All the IsDB member countries are eligible for this scholarship, including Iran, Libya, Qatar, UAE, Nigeria, Turkey, Egypt, Kuwait, Pakistan, Sudan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Yemen, and many others.

Eligibility Criteria

For under-graduation:

  • Applicants must complete their intermediate studies of 12 years before applying for the scholarship program.
  • They must have maintained good grades in the major subjects.
  • Students must be mentally, medically, and physically fit to get the scholarship.
  • They have not attended any other scholarship program before or during the application time.

For Master’s Program:

  • To apply for a Master’s scholarship program, the applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in a major subject.
  • Should have the minimum good grades in graduation.
  • Students with research work are preferred for a scholarship.
  • He/she has not attended any other scholarship before or during the application time.

For Ph.D. Program:

  • Must have the least good grades in the last degree
  • Should have a master’s in the field that he/she will pursue for higher studies.
  • Must be medically and mentally fit avail of the scholarship opportunity.
  • Has not traveled for any other scholarship before or during the application time
  • The applicant must have done research in the respective fields and needs to submit the proposal to the university while applying for the Ph.D. program.

For VET:

The main obligations and requirements are applied to anyone who is going to get admission in vocational education technique. This includes:

  • Medical Fitness
  • The minimum good marks in the last degree
  • Should not be receiving any other scholarship from the other scholarship programs.
  • Should be a resident of IsDB-affiliated countries.

Obligations:

  • Students should be willing to learn and should work hard. They must devote themselves to studies and prove they are worth the investment by the IsDB. IsDB also requires regular progress reports from the students.
  • Sign all the terms and conditions of the IsDB program, which includes full devotion to their studies. And to serve their respective countries with their services after completing their degree.
  • They must follow the rules and regulations set by the university and the IsDB program. Students should maintain ethical behavior with their colleagues, staff, and others.
  • Students should be mentally and physically fit and undergo medical tests to obtain their medical fitness report while applying for the scholarship program.
  • Should be enrolled in IsDB alumni to report their progress in the future to the IsDB.
  • They must not accept any other scholarship except the IsDB before or during the application process.

How to Apply for the IsDB scholarship? Step by Step guide

  • First, you must get admission to the desired institute in your preferred field.
  • You will get your login details through your email to proceed further.
  • Next, you must fill out the application form on the official website. 
  • Now is the time to add your documents which differ depending on the program you chose for your studies.

For under-graduation:

 You need to upload;

  • Copy of your ID card and passport
  • Medical fitness certificate from any hospital
  • Certificate of your last degree and high school transcripts
  • Birth certificate
  • Certified report of language proficiency

For Master’s degree:

  • Upload your CV
  • Copy of your ID card and passport
  • Medical certificate that states your current and previous medical health details
  • Upload your certificates showing your work.
  • Your graduation degree and transcripts
  • Language proficiency test scores

For Ph.D. degree:

  • Upload your CV
  • Transcript of your Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
  • Upload your certificate of work experience
  • Copy of your ID card and passport
  • Certificate of health and medical fitness from a doctor

  • Research proposal in any field of your study

For Post-doctoral scholarship:
