Eligibility

Minimum Requirements:

  • Prospective candidates for the YPP must meet the following criteria:
  • Education: Possess a Master’s degree from a highly reputable university in any relevant discipline related to the Bank. Candidates currently pursuing a Master’s degree are eligible if the degree will be conferred before the YPP Program’s start date. The Master’s degree should have been obtained within four years prior to the application deadline.
  • Citizenship: Hold citizenship of an IsDB member country. However, up to 25% of selected candidates from each cohort can be from Muslim communities in non-member countries.
  • Language: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in one of the Bank’s other operating languages (Arabic or French) will be considered favorably.
  • Age: 32 years old or younger at the application deadline.
  • Willingness to reside in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and undertake country assignments as required by the Bank’s operations, including potential rotation to an IsDB Regional Hub.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment and passion for the IsDB’s mission and development model.

In addition to the minimum criteria mentioned above, priority will be given to prospective candidates who possess the following:

  • Outstanding academic performance, such as achieving a Pass with Distinction, Merit, or Honors in their Master’s program. Candidates who are still pursuing their Master’s degree should submit their most recent transcripts demonstrating exceptional academic standing.
  • Recipient of an IsDB Scholarship.
  • Trilingual proficiency, including a good command of Arabic and/or French.
  • Possession of or pursuit of a Professional Certification or a Ph.D. from a reputable institution in a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional work experience in any of the IsDB’s core sectors.
