Along with providing the scholarship amount to assist deserving students in their studies, the university provides all the facilities for extracurricular activities. The university has two campuses, one for male and the other for female students. It has a vast library with the latest books and other educational stuff. The scholarship assists the students in progressing personally and professionally.

Scholarship Coverage:

  • The university will provide free pick-up service from the airport to all scholarship recipients.
  • Every student will get a decent amount of monthly allowance every month. This amount will cover all the costs of students’ basic needs.
  • The students who excel in their studies will get extra awards for their excellent records apart from scholarships.
  • The scholarship also covers annual student ticket expenses to help them travel to their home country during their studies. They also assist the newcomers in establishing themselves there.
  • Besides this, students can also call their families to visit them whenever they want. The scholarship department of the university also covers the expenses of bringing the families of the recipients.
  • Some of the candidates also get employment offers while living there.
  • The students are offered low-cost food and also get healthcare services.

Eligibility Criteria for King Abdulaziz scholarship:

The students who want scholarships from King Abdulaziz University should fulfill the following criteria.

  • Students from all over the world are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Students must have good character record in their previous institutes.
  • The applicant should be at least 17 years and more than 25 years if applying for an undergraduate degree.
  • Students must have a degree from a secondary school before applying.
  • The students should get admission within three years of completing the previous degree.
  • A female student should have a relative who accompanies her.

Masters and P.hD.:

  • English language proficiency test is a must to get qualified for the scholarship. 
  • The age criteria for the Master’s program is 30 or less and for PhD. is 35 or less than that.
  • Students must have an excellent academic record and should not be expelled from Saudi institutes.
  • All the candidates should obtain at least two reference or recommendation letters from their teachers.

Documents required for the application:

  • A complete CV having all of your academic and work records.
  • The statement of purpose that needs to be sent with the application form should be in English for all subjects except the Arabic language and Islamic study course.
  • A copy of your passport that was valid for at least one year.
  • The Saudi Embassy must attest a copy of the degree of your last program.
  • The Saudi Embassy should also attest a copy of the transcript from your last degree.
  • Passport-size photographs
  • A certificate of the English Language proficiency test

How to Apply for King Abdulaziz scholarship?

The best thing about the King Abdulaziz scholarship is that students can submit their applications at any time of the year. There is no deadline for applying, but the selection is made only twice a year for spring and fall admissions.

  1. There are three ways to apply for the external scholarship:
  • The official website of the university
  • Through the Embassy in the respective countries
  • Through any consultant who works in getting students enrolled in international universities.
  1. After finalizing the pathway, you must submit your authentic and complete documents.
  2. The application is finalized after attaching all the required documents and sent to the Ministry for approval. There all the documents are checked and verified.
  3. After getting the documents approved, students will be asked to visit the Embassy of the Kingdom to attest to the information written in the application.
  4. Suppose a student fulfills all the criteria, and the Embassy attests the documents without issue. In that case, a student visa is issued for him to continue their studies at King Abdulaziz University.

General scholarship rules for all the scholarship recipients:

  • The students will only receive a scholarship from the other universities of the Kingdom while studying at King Abdulaziz university.
  • The university is responsible for their stay till the completion of their degree.
  • The transfer from one university to the other is not allowed for any scholarship holder.
  • The students can also get family visas and call their families to visit them during their stay.
  • No student can work for any other university, company, or industry during their education years; otherwise, their scholarship will be nullified.
  • The candidates should have good conduct will all the national and international people.
  • Every student must follow all the rules and regulations of the Kingdom and the residency law.
