Scholarship Benefits

There are up to 85 scholarships available for 2024/25, with five specifically reserved for students coming from India. The bursary is valued at £15,000.

The scholarship is valid for one year only, unless the full-time program is two years long. In that case, the scholarship will be divided equally over the two years.

The UCL Global Masters Scholarship can be combined with other studentships, scholarships, bursaries or awards. The amount of the UCL award may be adjusted based on the total value of other funds the student receives.

Eligibility

Candidates from any country outside the UK can apply if they meet all the following criteria:

  • Able to pay the fees overseas.
  • Come from a low-income background.
  • Submitted a complete application for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL for 2024/25, including references.

How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, you must have submitted an admission application to UCL, including all references.

Here are steps to apply:

  • Log in to Portico with your usual details.
  • Click the ‘View’ button for the application you want to fund.
  • On the application screen, select ‘Funding’ from the top menu.
  • You will be on the funding page. To see which funds you can apply for, click ‘Check and apply’ under ‘Funds Available’.
  • Then click on the name of the scholarship you want to apply for.
