Scholarship Benefits

This scholarship started in 1911 and is worth at least $10,000 with an initial donation of $1,000 from the beneficiaries of the late Honourable John Archibald’s estate. The Archibald Scholarship is supported by an endowment fund that welcomes additional donations.”

Eligibility

You qualify if you:

  • are enrolled full-time in one of the following programs:
    • the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) as a new student
    • the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) with an economics major, having completed 48 units
    • have a Grade Point Average of at least 6.5 in the following undergraduate economics courses: ECON2010, ECON2040, ECON2020, ECON2030, ECON2050, ECON3010, ECON3350, ECON2300, ECON3020, ECON3360
  • Do not hold another similar scholarship.
  • Both domestic and international students are eligible.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you are automatically considered.

Additional Information

The scholarship goes to the student with the highest GPA in the specified courses.

If two or more students have the same GPA, the selection committee will use additional criteria to choose the scholarship recipient.”
