Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship value is $5,000 or $10,000.

These scholarships are intended to cover a portion of the fees. The awarded scholarships will be applied towards the tuition fees once the final withdrawal date for the trimester’s courses has passed (approximately two weeks into the trimester) and the recipient(s) have been notified of their award.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be students who hold an international status and are responsible for paying the complete international fees.
  • Must be enrolling in either their initial year of an undergraduate degree or pursuing a postgraduate degree.
  • Please note that you will be deemed ineligible for this scholarship if:
  • You completed your secondary education at a school located in New Zealand.
  • You successfully finished the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or Foundation Studies Programme.
  • You are participating in the Study Abroad or Twinning program offered by any of our partner universities abroad.
  • You are currently in your second year of study within the same degree program at Victoria University of Wellington.

How to apply

  • Submit a fully completed online application no later than 4.30 pm on the designated closing date. Applications received after this time or those that are incomplete will not be accepted.
  • To support your application, make sure to provide all necessary documentation, including references, by 4.30 pm on the closing date.
  • Generally, applications for each trimester will become available one month before the respective closing date. If an application link is not currently provided, please check back closer to the closing date. For any inquiries, please feel free to contact us.
  • To apply for Trimester 2, 2024, please submit your online application by 1 June 2024.
  • To apply for Trimester 3, 2024, please submit your online application by 1 September 2024.

This scholarship is designed to cover a portion of the tuition fees for one year of study.
