Scholarship Benefits

A full tuition waiver (covering tuition and registration fees) for one year of a taught Master’s program or the first year of a research program (either the first year of a two-year research Master’s or the first year of a three- to four-year Ph.D. program); and a scholarship that provides a monthly stipend to help with living expenses and other student costs.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be originally from outside the EU, EEA, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom
  • Have a conditional or final offer for full-time admission to Trinity as an international, fee-paying student
  • The offer letter must state that the student has been accepted into a full-time program as an international fee-paying student. Due to the ongoing aggression of Russia in Ukraine, citizens of Russia and Belarus are not eligible to apply.

To apply for this scholarship, please note the following:

  • Potential applicants should carefully read the call documentation to check their eligibility. A sample application form is available for reference only.
  • Applications must be submitted through the online portal, and two references must also be uploaded there.
  • It is advised to submit applications well before the deadline to avoid any technical problems caused by heavy server traffic on the final day. Applications cannot be submitted after the deadline, and no changes can be made once they have been submitted.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships are granted to outstanding students from non-EEA countries to pursue postgraduate studies in Ireland for one year.
