To qualify for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, candidates must:

  • Apply and secure admission to an eligible master’s or PhD program at a participating higher education institution in Ireland, following that institution’s standard admission procedures.
  • Possess either a conditional or final offer of admission from the higher education institution at the time of their scholarship application, and must provide a copy of this offer.
  • The offer letter must verify that the candidate has been accepted onto a full-time program and will be paying tuition fees at the international rate.

Due to the ongoing conflict involving Russia in Ukraine, nationals from Russia and Belarus are currently ineligible to apply for this scholarship.
