Scholarship Benefits

International students can get scholarships based on their merit and financial need. These can cover full tuition and housing or part of the tuition at rates of 100%, 50%, 40%, or 30%. Each application is reviewed individually.

Eligibility

To be considered an international freshman (first-year) student:

You and your parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.
You need to meet the minimum language requirements.
For programs taught in Korean, you must pass the TOPIK Level 3 exam.
For programs taught in English, you need a TOEFL score of 530 (CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, or TEPS 600 (New TEPS 327).
You must have completed high school either in Korea or in another country.

To qualify as an international transfer student (third year):

You and your parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.
You need to meet the minimum language requirements.
You must have finished at least two years of full-time university study either in Korea or in another country.
To be considered an international graduate student:
You and your family must hold citizenship from a country other than South Korea.
You will need to meet the minimum language requirements.
For programs taught in Korean, you must pass the TOPIK exam at Level 3 or higher.
For programs taught in English, you will need to obtain a TOEFL score of at least 530 (197 on the computer-based test or 71 on the internet-based test), an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a CEFR level of B2 or above, or a TEPS score of 600 (327 on the new TEPS scale).

For Master’s Programs:

If you want to apply for a Master’s program, you must have (or be about to receive) a bachelor’s degree or something considered equivalent from an accredited college or university.

For Doctorate Programs:

If you want to apply for a Doctorate program, you must have (or be about to receive) a Master’s degree or something considered equivalent from an accredited college or university.
