Scholarship Benefits
International students can get scholarships based on their merit and financial need. These can cover full tuition and housing or part of the tuition at rates of 100%, 50%, 40%, or 30%. Each application is reviewed individually.
Eligibility
To be considered an international freshman (first-year) student:
- You and your parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.
- You need to meet the minimum language requirements.
- For programs taught in Korean, you must pass the TOPIK Level 3 exam.
- For programs taught in English, you need a TOEFL score of 530 (CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, or TEPS 600 (New TEPS 327).
- You must have completed high school either in Korea or in another country.
To qualify as an international transfer student (third year):
- You and your parents must be citizens of a country other than Korea.
- You need to meet the minimum language requirements.
- You must have finished at least two years of full-time university study either in Korea or in another country.
- To be considered an international graduate student:
- You and your family must hold citizenship from a country other than South Korea.
- You will need to meet the minimum language requirements.
- For programs taught in Korean, you must pass the TOPIK exam at Level 3 or higher.
- For programs taught in English, you will need to obtain a TOEFL score of at least 530 (197 on the computer-based test or 71 on the internet-based test), an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a CEFR level of B2 or above, or a TEPS score of 600 (327 on the new TEPS scale).
For Master’s Programs:
If you want to apply for a Master’s program, you must have (or be about to receive) a bachelor’s degree or something considered equivalent from an accredited college or university.
For Doctorate Programs:
If you want to apply for a Doctorate program, you must have (or be about to receive) a Master’s degree or something considered equivalent from an accredited college or university.
