Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for the Romanian Government Scholarship include:
- Being an international student, with a preference given to applicants from non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
- Having the necessary qualifications and documentation to apply for an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program.
- Being prepared to enroll in a Romanian language preparatory course if Romanian is not already known.
How to apply
Applicants must prepare to provide the following documentation for submission:
- A completed Application Form
- A Letter of Recommendation
- Photocopies of earned diplomas (such as high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate diplomas, as relevant), with translations in Romanian, English, or French where necessary.
- Official Academic Transcripts, certified by the issuing country’s authoritative bodies, translated into Romanian, English, or French as needed.
- The applicant’s signed statement attesting that they have not previously received a scholarship from the Romanian Government for the same level of studies for which they are currently applying.
- A copy of the Birth Certificate
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae
- The original Medical Certificate
- A photocopy of the Identity Card with an official translation
- A copy of the first two pages of the Passport, ensuring it is valid for at least six months beyond the start date of the study program intended.
- Two recent photographs in passport format
For the academic year 2024-2025, scholarship applications to be granted by the Romanian state should be submitted exclusively in electronic format. All application materials must be sent to the following email address: [email protected]
