Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Khalifa University scholarships, students need to meet certain criteria as follows: 

1. The required language is English.

2. The program is open to all countries around the world.

3. Requirements for Master’s Degree Programs:

  • A Bachelor’s degree must be obtained.
  • A certificate of English proficiency is required.
  • Interview for admissions.

4. Requirements for Doctorate Degree Programs:

  • Completing a Master’s degree.
  • Write a 500-1,000 word research statement.
  • Taking an interview for admission

5. There are some requirements for both the Full-Time and Part-Time programs. 

  •  Full-time: The student is required to register for three to four courses each semester, each requiring nine to twelve credit hours
  •  Part-time: Each semester, students must register for two courses worth six credit hours

  • Curriculum Vitae in detail 
  • On a white background, a passport-style photograph.
  • Valid passports are required for international students.
  • For international applicants residing in the United Arab Emirates, please upload a clear copy of their valid United Arab Emirates visa.
  • Khulasat Al Qaid needs national applicants only from UAE.
  • Present a valid UAE national ID card if you are a national of the United Arab Emirates and reside in the country.
  • A 500- to 1,000-word statement of purpose
  • Research Statement 500 to 1,000 words only for applicants to PhD programs.
  • Upon acceptance, you will proceed to the interview phase.

Scholarship coverage at Khalifa University

  • Provides full tuition coverage
  • Student health insurance coverage is sponsored by Khalifa University as stipulated by the University’s policies and procedures.
  • Supported travel to attend international research conferences with permission.
  • Student airline ticket assistance from different countries back to home countries
  • Eligible students are granted free University accommodation or assistance in the form of 2,000 AEDs per month to cover the accommodation cost if they cannot find University accommodation themselves, according to the rules established by the University.
  • MSc Stipend: AED 8,000 per month.
  • Monthly PhD stipend: AED 12,000.
