Scholarship Benefits

College/Undergraduate (4 months):

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Citizenship in one of the eligible countries/territories:
    • Asia: Taiwan, Bangladesh, Nepal,
    • Europe: Ukraine, Türkiye
    • Middle East and North Africa: Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Tunisia
    • Sub-Saharan Africa: Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda, Tanzania
  • Full-time enrollment at a post-secondary institution in any of the eligible countries/territories.

Payment of tuition fees to the home institution at the time of application and throughout the entire exchange period.

How to apply

Eligible students interested in the Study in Canada Scholarships Program must have their applications submitted by a Canadian institution. Here are the application instructions for Canadian institutions:

  • Assign an individual to act as the program coordinator who will be responsible for completing applications on behalf of eligible students.
  • Visit the My EduCanada platform and select “Login or Register” to create an account.
  • Once logged in, navigate to the Study in Canada Scholarships Program section and click on “Apply.”
  • Fill out the application form by entering information into the required fields and adhere to the form’s instructions.
  • Regularly click on “Validate and save” throughout the application process to ensure data is not lost.
  • Upload all necessary supporting documents, ensuring each file is under 5 MB and in an acceptable format (.jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .txt, or .xlsx).
  • Thoroughly review the application to ensure all information is accurate and complete.
  • Read the terms in the “Declaration and permission” statement, agree to the conditions, and then click “Submit.” A confirmation message and a reference number will confirm the submission of the application.
  • Use the “Download” function to save or print a copy of the completed application form for your records.

Additional Information

Canadian post-secondary institutions looking to host students must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold the status of a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
  • Possess a current student exchange agreement with the home institution of the student, which includes a provision for waiving tuition fees for recipients of the scholarship. This requirement applies solely to college/undergraduate study.
