Degree Programme Duration Funding
Funding is available for Master’s studies, concert exam preparation, and participation in master classes.
Start Date: Usually from October 1 of the next year, or earlier if you take a German language course before the study programme.
Duration: Scholarships are awarded for the entire duration of the chosen study programme, ranging from 10 to 24 months. In your application, specify the total period for which you seek funding. For instance, if you plan a 2-year degree, indicate two years as the scholarship duration in your application. After your first study year, your academic performance will be evaluated in a further funding procedure. If it shows you are likely to complete your programme within a reasonable time, the scholarship will continue.
Extension: Extending the scholarship beyond 24 months is only possible if you move to a new stage in studies (e.g., from a Master’s degree to an advanced programme like a concert exam or master class). Highly qualified candidates can apply for an extension for a concert exam for up to 24 months.
Complementary Studies Not Leading to a Final Qualification:
Funding: One academic year is funded. In some cases, the scholarship can be extended upon request.
Start Date: Usually from October 1 of the next year, or earlier if you take a German language course before the study programme.
