Scholarship Benefits

The initial scholarship sum is 1,500.00 euros. In the event that students meet the specific criteria, they have the opportunity to obtain an additional 150.00 euros for the eldest child and 100.00 euros for each subsequent child as a family supplement.

Eligibility

Eligibility for this scholarship include:

  • Attainment of a university degree with exceptionally high grades that meet the requirements for pursuing doctoral studies.
  • Acceptance as a doctoral candidate at the respective faculty and receiving academic guidance from two professors at the University of Greifswald or one of the affiliated educational institutions in the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Additionally, enrollment as a doctoral student at the University of Greifswald is necessary.
  • The proposed research project should have the potential to significantly contribute to research advancements or enhance the industrial competitiveness of the State.

Additional Information

The doctoral project should be carefully designed to ensure that, if executed as intended, it can be accomplished within the standard funding duration of three years. By the midpoint of the standard funding period at the latest, an assessment must be made to verify whether the conditions or prerequisites linked to the grant have been fulfilled and whether the scholarship can be sustained until the end of the grant period.
