This is with the stipulation that the scholarship will not extend beyond the first year in the event of definitive failure during that year.
Applicants should be cognizant of the fact that the amount provided by the scholarship will not cover the full cost of living in Switzerland. Consequently, it should not be considered a fully funded scholarship.
Eligibility
- Possession of an international university qualification deemed equivalent to a UNIL bachelor’s degree prior to commencement of the master’s program at UNIL.
- Achievement of outstanding academic performance during your university studies.
- Proficiency in the language of instruction of the master’s program you have selected, with a minimum level of C1 in French or English, as per the Global Scale of the European Language Portfolio.
- No previous enrollment at UNIL.
- Settlement of the CHF 200.00 administrative fee (refer to the “list of documents to attach to your application” for details).
How to apply
- The Masters Scholarship application doubles as the admission form for your chosen Master’s program, functioning as the enrollment document for UNIL. As a result, there is no need to submit a separate master’s degree application to the UNIL Admissions Office (SII).
- Prospective Masters Scholarship candidates must apply through the online platform, uploading their full application dossier in PDF format during the submission process (email submissions are not accepted).
- Applications must be submitted by November 1st (as evidenced by the postmark) for enrollment in the next academic year, either in the autumn semester or the spring semester, provided the program schedule permits.
Additional Information
Masters Scholarships, designed to acknowledge academic excellence, are exclusively awarded to students who have earned their degrees from foreign universities and have demonstrated exceptionally high academic achievement.
UNIL awards approximately ten of these scholarships each year.
