Scholarship Benefits
Scholarships awarded online exclusively cover tuition fees, while face-to-face scholarships encompass a broader range of expenses, including tuition fees, round-trip transportation, accommodation and meals (either through University Hall or via a monthly allowance), as well as health insurance.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarships, the following criteria must be met:
- Identify as a woman and hold citizenship and residency in an African country.
- Be enrolled in an African university or possess a university degree from an African country. For postgraduate scholarships, a Bachelor’s degree is mandatory. The specific degree requirement may vary based on the scholarship being pursued (please refer to the detailed information provided for each scholarship).
- Fulfill the specific requirements outlined by the scholarship you are applying for.
- Only one application per individual will be considered.
How to apply
To ensure a smooth application process for the scholarship, it is important to prepare all the required documents in advance. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Gather all the necessary documents needed for the scholarship application (please refer to the list of required documents).
Step 2: Visit the Scholarships 2024-2025 webpage. There will be two groups of scholarships highlighted in green:
– 2024 Learn Africa Scholarships
– Bourses Learn Africa exclusives pour les étudiantes marocaines 2024
(Kindly note that the latter scholarships are exclusively for Moroccan women. If you do not meet this criterion, your application for these scholarships will not be considered or evaluated.)
Step 3: Click on each group to view the available scholarships. The list of scholarships under each group will be displayed.
Step 4: Click on each scholarship to access more detailed information. The scholarship profile page will provide additional insights. Click on the provided green links for further information.
Step 5: Once you have decided on the scholarship you wish to apply for, locate the orange “Apply” button. It can be found in two different locations: within the 2024 Scholarships section and within each scholarship profile.
– If you already have a user account, proceed to “User access.” In case you have forgotten your password, click on “Recover password” and follow the instructions.
– If you do not have a user account, select “Register” to create a new user account.
Step 6: After logging in with your username and password, the application form will be accessible.
Step 7: From the drop-down menu, select the specific scholarship you intend to apply for. Remember that only one application per person is allowed.
Step 8: Complete the application form by providing accurate and complete information.
Step 9: Attach the requested documents to the application. Ensure that the files meet the following requirements:
– Accepted formats: png, gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf, doc, docx, ppt, and rtf.
– Maximum file size: 4MB
Step 10: To finalize the application process, click on the “Submit” button.
