Application Process for Hong Kong Fellowship

To apply for Hong Kong Fellowship, you must

  • Apply for both the university and this fellowship individually. Candidates must first register for the fellowship through the HKPF Scheme Electronic System. Candidates will be assigned a reference number after successfully submitting their initial application.
  • Then apply to the universities of their choice. The given reference number must be included in the university application form. If the reference number is not provided, their applications will be treated as regular applications.
  • Wait to be offered an interview by your chosen university. Suppose you have applied to more than one university and have received more than one nomination. In that case, the RGC will only consider the nomination from the university that was your first choice.

It is important to note that each institution has a different deadline. So, to acquire the reference number before the due, you must submit the initial application as early as possible.

Applicants are advised to maintain consistency and accuracy in all the supplied information. This is to minimize delays or interruptions in processing. Any mistake or inconsistency in the information provided may result in the application being rejected.

Applicants who are not eligible for the HKPF may be accepted for standard Ph.D. admittance. They may also be awarded a postgraduate studentship or other monetary assistance. Please visit the official page for more information about the Hong Kong Fellowship scheme.
