Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship includes:

  • Participation costs for students: tuition, library, lab fees, and other required expenses for the Master’s program.
  • An allowance of 1,400 EUR each month to cover travel, visa, setup, and living costs for the two-year program duration.
  • Travel expenses from the student’s home country to the Czech Republic must be covered by the student. The 1,400 EUR monthly allowance will only be given after the student arrives in the Czech Republic and officially enrolls at UCT Prague.

Non-scholarship holder places

Sixteen places are reserved for non-scholarship holders from Partner Countries.

Non-scholarship holders must cover their own living, accommodation, and other related costs. The tuition fee at all partner universities is waived for them.

Estimated living, accommodation, and other related costs for the entire study period range from 30,000 to 35,000 EUR.

Self-payers places

Twenty places are reserved for self-payers from Programme and Partner Countries.

Self-payers must pay the tuition fees at all partner universities (14,800 EUR for the entire 4-semester duration), as well as their own living, accommodation, and other related costs.

Estimated living, accommodation, and other related costs for the entire study period range from 30,000 to 35,000 EUR.

Eligibility

A good understanding of mathematics, chemistry, and physics is required for admission to the program.

Students who have already benefited from an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship before are NOT eligible to apply for the IMATEC scholarship.

To complete the online application, click on “Create a new application.” Then select the Faculty of Environmental Technology, English, full-time, Master’s (post-Bachelor), Sustainability and Environmental Engineering (IMATEC) (Individual Student Agreement).

Additional Information

The IMATEC program provides 84 Erasmus Mundus scholarships, awarded competitively. These scholarships will be given out over four intakes (groups of students), starting in September 2023 and ending in September 2028.
