Scholarship Benefits
Applicants who are selected will be granted a complete scholarship by CSC throughout their duration in China. This includes exemption from tuition fees, complimentary on-campus housing, extensive medical insurance, and a monthly allowance (CNY 3,000 for general scholars and CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).
Eligibility
- Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and demonstrate good moral character, academic excellence, and sound mental and physical health.
- Applicants for general scholarships should be under 45 years old, while applicants for senior scholarships should be under 50 years old at the time of application.
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students or serve as full-time academic staff at one of CSC’s foreign partner universities both at the time of applying and during their stay in China. A detailed list of these partner universities can be found in Appendix 1.
- Candidates must have either an admission notice or an invitation letter from a host university in China. For information about these Chinese host universities.
How to apply
- Applicants must reach out to the Chinese host universities to secure admission documents or invitations.
- Applicants are required to register and complete the CSC online application at the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), where they must also upload necessary supporting documents.
- The Chinese host universities will handle the processing of applications.
- Submission deadlines for Chinese host universities to recommend scholarship candidates to CSC are set for April 15, 2024; July 15, 2024; October 15, 2024; and January 15, 2025. These deadlines mark four nomination periods for this call.
- CSC is scheduled to dispatch scholarship admission results to Chinese host universities on May 15, 2024; August 15, 2024; November 15, 2024; and February 15, 2025. These dates also represent four distinct periods for this cycle.
- Following this, the Chinese host universities will communicate the scholarship admission results to the applicants.
