About the scholarship
The Excellence Masters Scholarship program enables outstanding students worldwide to obtain a Master’s degree in their chosen field of study at ETH Zurich. The program is designed to attract talented students with high academic achievements, provide them with the best possible education and equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in their careers. Finalists are selected based on merit alone, regardless of nationality.
Eligibility requirements
The ETH Zurich offers scholarships to outstanding students from national & international universities who wish to pursue their Master’s degrees there. The scholarship is awarded based on your academic performance during the bachelor studies, professional experience, & motivation to pursue a master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences.
How to apply?
The application process does not require more than one application, & you can even apply for up to three Excellence Programs at once. The scholarship application requires you to upload a pre-proposal for your Master’s thesis and admission documents. Once your completed application has been received, we will notify you about our decision by email as soon as possible. Applications open on 1 November & the deadline for applications will be 15 December.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the Master’s program in which the student enrolls. A Master’s Excellence Scholarship/ESOP consists of an award covering living expenses & study costs of CHF 12,000 per semester and a waiver of tuition fees throughout a regular three- or four-year program. Likewise, tuition fee waivers apply. These scholarships are given to high-performing students who clearly need financial support.
