Eligibility criteria for Qatar University Scholarships

External scholarships:

  • The scholarship is given in the same year in which they have applied and registered for the scholarship. Otherwise, the scholarship will be canceled and the applicants will be informed by the QU email.
  • Recipients must meet all the requirements set by the college and the department for which they have applied. 
  • Applicants should submit all the final requirements and official high school transcripts for their admissions.

H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s scholarship for Academic Excellence

  • The scholarship awards for students are only given in the fall semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum average of about 95% in their secondary school.
  • The scholarship is given in the same year in which they have applied and registered for the scholarship. Otherwise, the scholarship will be canceled and the applicants will be informed by the QU email.
  • They must have a Qatari Secondary Education Certificate.
  • The year in which the application for the scholarship is made in the same year in which they graduated from secondary school.

Outstanding performance scholarship

  • The applicants must have completed almost 30 credit hours in QU.
  • Those students are selected who have the highest GPA during their period of study.
  • They must be enrolled at Qatar University.
  • Students who are selected for the scholarship must have a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.

How to apply for Qatar University Scholarship?

The procedure for applying to the Qatar University Scholarship is given below:

  • The new students who deserve the scholarship can apply for the scholarship through the Admission Application System given on the official website.
  • Create your new user account which you can access easily anytime. During your admission application, you will use your login ID and PIN to log in to the system to apply for the scholarship and admission application.
  • Within 3 days, you will receive the confirmation letter of your application.
  • You have to upload all of your required documents because QU reviews your whole application. If any of the required documents are missing, your application may be refused or delayed.
  • After the confirmation of your admission, you have to submit all the official documents that are required.
  • Students receive their confirmation letter and accepted students will get their login information and QU ID through different QU resources.
