Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the scholarship will receive:

  • Entry to the One Young World Summit 2024, taking place in Montréal.
  • Participation in extra scholarship activities arranged by the Z Zurich Foundation. Anticipated events involve sessions before and after the One Young World Summit, chances to interact with the broader Z Zurich Foundation group, plus a development day centered on impact on Sunday, 22nd September, during the week of the conference.
  • Lodging in Montréal for the duration of the Summit, from the 17th to the 23rd of September, inclusive.
  • Round-trip airfare to Montréal.
  • Provided meals that cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Local transport to and from the various Summit locations in Montréal.

Eligibility

To be considered for the scholarship, candidates must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30 during the One Young World Summit in 2024.
  • Have a deep-seated passion for addressing both local and international issues.
  • Show a proven track record of efforts aimed at effecting positive change.
  • Be open to actively participate and work in cooperation with fellow scholarship awardees and Zurich employees attending the Summit.
  • Have made a discernible impact in a domain that resonates with the objectives of the Z Zurich Foundation, specifically in areas such as:
  • Enhancing mental well-being,
  • Promoting social equity,
  • Adapting and responding to climate change.

All citizens are eligible for this scholarship.

Additional Information

The 2024 Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship is designed to sponsor 30 emerging leaders who are dedicated to projects centered on the proactive promotion of mental well-being, initiatives aimed at climate resilience with a focus on adaptation, or projects that foster social equity through education, employability, or entrepreneurial solutions. These individuals will have the opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit 2024, scheduled to occur in Montréal, Canada, from the 18th to the 21st of September.
