World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship 2024

Scholarship Overview

The fellowship program extends over a period of 6 months, during which there will be intensive full-time engagement for 2 weeks of in-person training in Washington, D.C.
Participation in the World Bank Global Forum for Public Administration and Government Analytics course in Washington, DC entails coverage of expenses for hotel accommodation, travel, and subsistence by the World Bank.
This opportunity allows participants to acquire data-driven insights and expertise in effectively utilizing extensive governmental data, thereby transforming it into practical insights for informed decision-making and policy formulation.
By participating in the program, you will be empowered to drive transformative change within your government by leveraging cutting-edge research and receiving expert guidance to implement systemic improvements in your government’s operations.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to join a collaborative network comprising government officials, data experts, academics, and professionals who share similar aspirations and goals.

If you’re eyeing the Government Analytics Fellowship, candidates need to meet the following criteria:

Must have the capacity to journey to Washington DC from May 27 through June 7.
Require a nomination from their respective organizations (a maximum of two fellows for each organization).
Currently hold a position within a central government organization, which encompasses agencies.
Occupy a role as a mid-level manager or hold a senior analyst title (or a similar level) with the power to initiate a government analytics project.
Show a history of completed tertiary education in statistics or comparable quantitative fields.
Have proficiency in the English language.

Every applicant is required to provide these items, all in English:

A detailed resume, not exceeding three pages, that emphasizes experience and credentials pertinent to the role.
A concise 150-word description outlining your plan to leverage the knowledge acquired to improve your organization’s functioning via a government analytics initiative.
A letter of support from your organization that nominates you for the fellowship and verifies your current role.
