Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility

  • Citizens of Pakistan with robust academic records who are residing in Pakistan throughout the application process and are dedicated to returning to serve the country are invited to apply. All fields of study are accepted, excluding clinical medicine. Individuals specializing in energy, water, agriculture, public health, education, environmental science, and climate change are particularly urged to submit applications.
  • To be eligible, prospective Master’s candidates must possess either a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a combination of a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, totaling 16 years of formal education. Applicants for the PhD program should hold a Master’s, M.Phil, or an equivalent degree, amounting to 18 years of formal education from an accredited institution.

Candidates must be willing to fulfill their scholarship terms independently, without dependents accompanying them if necessary.

How to apply

  • A fully assembled application packet consists of:
  • A filled-out application form.
  • A set of three letters of recommendation.
  • A report of your GRE scores.

Digital copies of academic transcripts, which should be accompanied by a description of the grading system used by the awarding university. It’s important to note that while documents attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) are preferred when applying, credentials and transcripts attested by the issuing authority are acceptable at the application stage.

It is critical to understand that incomplete application packages will be disqualified. Your application, inclusive of references and all necessary supporting documentation, must be submitted via the online system. We do not accept paper applications.

Additional Information

All fields of study are open for application for both the Master’s and PhD programs, with the sole exception of clinical medicine. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE General) is a mandatory requirement for every applicant. Under the current scoring methodology, applicants must achieve a minimum score of 145 in each section of the GRE, and it is advisable to obtain a higher score in the section that is most relevant to the applicant’s field of study.

Moreover, applicants should have a strong command of both spoken and written English. The Duolingo English Test will be required from all candidates who are shortlisted.
