To qualify for a scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • be a citizen from a country not part of the EU, EEA (European Economic Area), or Switzerland
  • have been admitted to a master’s degree program at the University of Copenhagen
  • receive a time-limited residence permit intended for studying in a higher education program in Denmark.

How to apply

All non-EU/EEA applicants to the University of Copenhagen’s MA/MSc degree programs are automatically considered for the Danish Government Scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria. Thus, there is no need to submit a separate application.

The University of Copenhagen will reach out to nominees via the DANS application portal.
