Scholarship Benefits

Living Stipend: covers a portion of the daily living expenses paid termly

Fee Offset: Covers full tuition

The scholarship from UAL encompasses tuition expenses, housing in a UAL residence hall, and potentially a portion of the daily living expenses. As many as four UAL International Postgraduate Scholarships, each valued at £50,000, are on offer.

UAL provides an extensive array of financial support options, including scholarships, awards, and bursaries. These are made possible through the generous contributions of private donors, corporate sponsors, benevolent charitable organizations, and the University’s own resources.

Eligibility

  • Possession of a full-time taught master’s program offer at a UAL College or Institute for the 2024/25 academic year is essential.
  • The program must culminate in one of the following qualifications: Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc.
  • The course should be conducted full-time and on-site within London. Courses taught online or through a low residency model do not qualify.
  • If you already have a postgraduate taught degree from the UK or an equivalent qualification from studies abroad, you are deemed ineligible to apply.
  • To qualify, your habitual residence should be in a nation characterized as a low-income economy. This list does not encompass developed territories, such as Canada, Japan, China, the USA, the UK, and nations within the European Union/EEA. Should your nation of residence be absent from our list, you may still have the opportunity to apply for alternative scholarships, one of which is the UAL International Postgraduate Scholarship valued at £7,000.
  • Within your application, you must provide proof such as immigration documents, an identification card, or an official verification of your address.

How to apply

After obtaining an offer to study at UAL, you will find that the ‘my finance and funding’ section of your applicant portal gets updated, presenting you with the scholarship application forms that you might qualify for.

Once you apply for a scholarship, we will notify you via email by mid-August, 2024 to inform you about the success of your application.

Late submissions cannot be accommodated, and any application that is not fully completed may be at risk of not being taken into account.

Additional Information

Should your application be selected, you will receive a letter detailing the award. To proceed with accepting the scholarship, you must fill out, sign, and return the provided acceptance form.

Your tuition and accommodation charges will be directly billed to the respective accounts. Additionally, any expenses related to your course and living costs will be deposited into your bank account each term.

A selection panel at UAL grants scholarships, making their determinations on the strength of the evidence within your submitted application.

In instances where you receive multiple acceptances for UAL awards or scholarships, you will be required to select only one to accept, since you cannot hold more than one concurrently.
