Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, 

  • You must be an international student.
  • You must have completed your undergraduate degree from an institution outside of Australia. 
  • You are not a Monash University or Monish Asia Pacific (MAP) student at the time of application. 
  • English language proficiency score is required, and you should provide evidence of this to Monash by providing a TOEFL/IELTS/PTE academic report that meets the criteria specified.
  • The test score needed is TOEFL – 500, IELTS – 6.5 with no band below 5.5, or PTE – 53 with no band below 50
  • An undergraduate degree requiring four years of study full-time is generally considered equivalent to an Australian degree is needed.
  • A master’s degree is needed, as well as experience with research.

Applicants who do not meet the above requirement will be automatically considered ineligible.
