Eligibility

IPS offers opportunities for recent Senior High School graduates to enter Undergraduate Programs and for those with an Undergraduate degree to advance into Postgraduate Programs in developing countries.

This scholarship is open to all citizens.

How to apply

When applying, you will need to provide the following documentation:

  • A recent photograph in JPG or JPEG format.
  • Your most recent Academic Certificate in PDF format.
  • Your latest Academic Transcript in PDF format.
  • A Language Proficiency Certificate in PDF format, relevant to the class you’re applying for:
  • (For the Regular Class, which is delivered in Bahasa, you are required to enroll in a Bahasa class for the first year. For the International Class, which is delivered in English, an English Proficiency Certificate is necessary. For the International Class with Islamic Education, which is delivered in Arabic, an Arabic Proficiency Certificate is required.)
  • A copy of your passport in PDF format.
  • An Academic Recommendation Letter in PDF format.
  • A Recommendation from your Employer or Immediate Supervisor in PDF format, if applicable.
  • A Motivation Letter in PDF format.

After you have been accepted as an awardee, you will need to upload the following additional documents:

  • A Medical Report in PDF format.
  • An Agreement and Declaration Letter in PDF format.

Additional Information

Undergraduate Programs

Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta offers both Regular and International Classes for all its Undergraduate Programs. The Regular Class conducts instruction in Bahasa, while the International Class is taught in English, with the exception of Islamic Studies, which is taught in Arabic.

Postgraduate Programs

The Postgraduate Programs at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta are predominantly taught in Bahasa Indonesia. However, the Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (Master of English Education) program is an exception, as it is delivered in English.
