Additional Information

The African Union Digital and Innovation Fellowship Program is an intensive 12-month initiative designed to recruit and position exceptionally skilled technology innovators from across Africa at various units and organs within the African Union headquarters. These individuals will serve as ‘resident fellows,’ immersing themselves in the specific systems of their assigned units, pinpointing data management inefficiencies, and addressing these issues by collaborating on and constructing bespoke, innovative solutions that enhance data handling procedures and contribute to the broader objectives of the AU. A critical aspect of the fellowship is to ensure the longevity of these solutions beyond the fellowship period. This is achieved by bolstering the AU staff’s capabilities within these units, thereby promoting enduring improvements and operational sophistication.
