The IMD MBA Scholarship for the year 2024-2025 is a scholarship for international students. It’s fully funded and is offered to students for a Master’s in Business Administration. The program offers CHF 85,000 award to its recipient.

Criteria for Eligibility for IMD MBA Scholarships

These are the requirements candidates should possess and present to qualify for this scholarship:

  • Language: English
  • Countries Covered: All countries in the world
  • Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent of it
  • Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of full-time work experience (post-graduate), demonstrating their career length and progress so far. Typically, the range in the class is within 4-9 years. 
  • Recommendations: The candidate should at least have 2 recommendations from business-related sources. It’s ideal for the candidate to know the recommenders well. It’s encouraged to have recommenders the candidate has worked with before, allowing them to highlight the candidate’s interpersonal skills, leadership capability, professional achievements, and teamwork efforts.
  • GRE or GMAT: The candidate should have an average GMAT score of 680. Scores below this can be supplemented by the candidate’s unique experiences and achievements, but it’s still ideal to reach the standard 680 scores. 
  • IELTS/TOEFL: Candidates who are not native English speakers need to pass the IELTS or TOEFL program. No minimum requirement is needed here, but a standard score of 105+ for TOEFL and 7.5 for IELTS is needed. You can use our TOEFL IBT code, C301. 
  • Second Language: We prefer candidates who have a second language as part of our international program outlook. 

How to Apply for the IMD MBA Scholarships?

Step 1: Create an online application from IMD’s official site.

Step 2: Upload these documents:

    • Transcripts and Degrees – Prepare copies of your original transcripts and diplomas. Make sure they’re the official documents and that they should include the grading scale. Provide translations to both English in French for all of your documents too.
    • GRE or GMAT – Provide your GRE or GMAT score. It should be from within 5 years. Candidates will be asked to upload a copy of their test taker results and get an official report of their scores to submit to IMD. The codes are GMAT (SKR-MM-13) and GRE (8490).
    • English Test Results – This includes the candidates’ IELTS or TOEFL scores. These should be from within 5 years as well (for non-native English speakers without a degree that’s taught in English). The candidates will have to provide a test taker copy and get an official report of their scores to submit to IMD as well.
    • Recommendations – Include 2 recommendations from your business-related sources. They should highlight your professional achievements and interpersonal, leadership, and teamwork skills too. Include their contact details 2 weeks before your application deadline so that they can complete and submit the online form on time. Strictly provide professional email addresses only, (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) are not accepted. 
  • CV – Add a one-page CV following our IMD template. Other CV formats will not be accepted. 
  • Photo – Prepare a professional-style electronic photo. It should not have any background scenery and should be in high resolution – the minimum DPI is 150, the size 150KB, and in JPEG format. 
  • Passport – Include a copy of your passport, and a picture page, that’s valid during the full MBA year. For those with multiple nationalities, include a copy of every passport present. 
  • Application Payment – Include your non-refundable CHF 200 fee.
