The allowance is BND$250.00 for a country within the ASEAN region, and BND$500.00 for a country outside the ASEAN region.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Scholarship availability is open to international students from every nation.
  • The languages mandatory are English, Malay, or Arabic.
  • Students must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.75 or equivalent.
  • Applicants must have obtained the results for their most recent degree program before the application deadline.
  • Applicants for Undergraduate or Diploma courses must be between 18-25 years old at the time of submission of their application and not older than 35 as of July 31st, 2023 for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programs.
  • Applicants must meet all entry requirements of the chosen university.
  • Previous recipients of the Brunei Darussalam Scholarship are not eligible to apply.
  • The scholarship awardee is not allowed to take on any remunerative work or become a staff member of any state envoy in Brunei Darussalam while the scholarship is being accepted.
  • Once the program has been finished, the grantee must exit Brunei Darussalam without delay.

  1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the National Focal Point for scholarships from the applicant’s nation must authorize and affirm the application forms.

 

  1. Candidates must present a document of verification from their National Security Agency(s)/ Police Station that attests they are free of any civil and/or criminal offenses.
