All tied up

1941-1945

In this World War II poster of a bird with its beak firmly tied shut, the public is reminded to avoid careless talk. In many wartime posters, the Government cautioned citizens not to talk about their work or news they had heard from relatives on the fighting fronts for fear that enemy sympathizers or spies would relay information to the enemy.
