Join the U.S. Army Air Corps

This 1942 poster of a smiling aviator on a background of stars and stripes invites enlistment in the Army Air Corps. Building a World War II fighting force required aggressive recruiting efforts and an expanded draft law for men aged 20 to 44. The branches of the military competed with each other to create posters to lure young men and women to enlist.
